As the Interim Assistant Director of Florida’s statewide literacy initiative, I am dedicated to improving literacy outcomes for students across the state. By strategically planning and executing operational management, I drive our mission to distribute books annually to VPK-5th grade students who are not yet reading on grade level. This initiative not only fosters a love for reading but also supports literacy development at home.Strategic Planning and Operations:- I lead the program's strategic direction of the operations team ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall strategy. This includes developing long-term plans for each project identifier and setting OKRs to measure success. - I have a strategic role in budgeting and financial oversight monitoring expenses against the budget, and making financial decisions that align with the strategic plan ensuring optimal resource allocation through effective budget management.Team Leadership and Supervision:- I manage a dynamic, cross-functional team, guiding both internal staff and external partners through recruitment, performance reviews, and quality control measures.- My focus on cultivating high team morale and fostering a collaborative environment ensures we consistently meet and exceed our program goals.Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement:- By aligning program strategies with broader organizational objectives, I facilitate collective success and drive impactful outcomes for students.- I build strong partnerships with other stakeholders, maintaining transparent communication that supports the program's growth and sustainability.With a genuine passion for literacy and a proven track record in strategic operations and leadership, I am committed to creating a lasting educational impact.
