I have worked in the field of mental health counseling for over 20 years. Settings toInclude community mental health, inpatient services, program director of a PHP\IOP program that was our step down for our adjunct IP facility. I pursued my next goal of owning a private practice, which I have done since 2008. I am also a certified child custody evaluator. This includes court ordered co-parenting, collaboration with legal, medical, and agency based services for the benefit of the child as with custody, each family is different. I also have experience in Guardian Ad Litem work as well which is court appointed, where an extensive clinical interview process is conducted. I am a certified anger management specialist with 20 plus years in navigating the root, manifestation and display ofanger and how it can impact daily life. Within the past 12 years I have also allocated timeFor crisis care interventions. Crisis care can be defined as any event in the home, work, or community where trauma has had an immediate and unexpected impact. The experience I have gained in this type of clinical arena is vast (i.e. death in the workplace, downsizing, I have also helped to navigate state and federal disasters such has Hurricane Michael and the Route 91 Strong mass shooting in Las Vegas. As of recent Covid-19 accommodations and education, I worked on implementing and maintaining the behavioral strategies and complications onsite for 45 days at a major nationwide corporation. With experience and accommodation, I helped with the transition of therapy to teletherapy with a HIPPA compliant platform. I enjoy each aspect of my work with my clients as every person and situation is different in its own way, but deserves the same amount of clinical care. I enjoy a multifaceted approach to my work and believe that a variety of work environments only adds to my clinical skills. With the will to help there can be healing.
