DEA's office head for the Honolulu District Office, which spans the Hawaiian islands, Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) and the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Provided strategic direction in managing and supervising over a hundred (100) law enforcement officers, intelligence analysts, diversion (those charged with investigating Doctors/Pharmacies/Pharmaceutical Companies etc.) investigators and administrative staff. Monitored, oversaw, managed and evaluated eight facilities (offices and warehouses) on four different islands, spanning 3,700 miles.Managed a training, enforcement, administrative, diversion (pharmaceutical) and intelligence portfolio in both domestic and international law enforcement. Supervised the development, preparation and administration of the entry-level training program for DEA’s basic agent trainees. Reviewed, updated and implemented new policies, benchmarks, curriculum and uniforms for basic agent classes. Mentored class coordinators and oversaw instructors for core subjects including but not limited to report writing, computers, firearms, tactics, legal, driving, drug identification and interviewing. Supervised and guided ten (10) contract computer employees. Oversaw the Leadership, Specialized and Clandestine Laboratory training programs. Identified training needs nationally as well as domestically for DEA and its law enforcement/prosecution partners.Developed training programs to include working in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps on joint Leadership training. Updated training requirements as well as programs to include designing a class for contract computer employees to education them on the business of DEA to enable them to design IT systems to further DEA’s mission. Attended to fiscal requirements and budgets. Administered and executed training platforms both on site and remote. Oversaw the building of a clandestine training facility.Active participant in the coordination of various studies as well as the development/drafting of decision papers and policies.
