Robin Dubin Avram was the Director of the Belle and George Strell Executive Leadership Fellows Program at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College until June 2019. In this role since 2015, Ms. Avram restructured, coordinated, and led the Belle and George StrellExecutive Leadership Program for rising CEOs in nonprofit social services.This included curriculum development; coordination with agency partners;relationship building with the programs funder and stakeholders;budgetary responsibility; guidance for the programs participants/fellows;supervision of program components, including the CEO-Fellow coachingmodule; and overall leadership and management of the program.Ms. Avram is a highly accomplished leader and change-maker with more than 35 years’ experience working to understand the needs of diverse populations; developing innovative, evidence-based, equity-driven educational programs; and leading philanthropic endeavors for the public good. In 2011, she founded LINKED, a community service program in partnership with HELP USA, which has given many young people an enduring commitment to public service. Prior to that, she directed all grant-making activity for the Rudin family foundations as Managing Director and Administrator, which are among the most highly respected in New York. Ms. Avram is also an experienced social work practitioner, who spent many years developing programs and curricula at nationally recognized agencies. Ms. Avram holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from The Catholic University of America, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. She is married to Dr. Marc Avram, and they live in Manhattan with their two boys.
