Over 25 years of experience in medical education, research, private and academic practice, and industry. Board certified OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinologist physician. Industry experience includes directing clinical trials, serving on an IRB and > 15 years of insurance industry work (including being a physician reviewer). Clinical experience includes evaluating and caring for women with hormonal imbalances such as precocious and delayed puberty, menstrual irregularities, hirsutism, and infertility evaluation and treatment (including in Vitro Fertilization), early pregnancy monitoring and menopause. Early research focused on determining the actual timing of ovulation after hCG administration. This is still the only study that has been done to determine the answer to this basic science question and is used in timing of all infertility treatment.It has been extremely rewarding to take this diverse experience and teach (OB/GYN residents and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellows) from firsthand experience, relying on medical reviewed literature and society-based recommendations, coupled with fiscal responsibility, how to provide quality "best practices" medical care. In addition to offering my unique experience and understanding of the insurance industry and authorization process for coverage of medical care to include the steps of how and when and why a service or how a device gets "covered".
