The Deerfield Community School is the 2017-18 NH School of the Year, educating students from Preschool - Grade 8. As part of the interdisciplinary special education team, I provide speech-language services for preschool through first grade students at DCS who present with a wide variety of communication disorders including language delays, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), phonological disorders, articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), ADHD, hearing impairment, medically fragile, learning disabilities, and dysphagia. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of IEPs and RTI plans, progress monitoring and reporting, comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, case management, team meetings, supervision of clinical fellowship year clinicians and rehabilitative assistants, and consultation with teachers and families to improve student outcomes. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA); with licenses in MA and NH.

Early Supports & Services (ESS): Provide speech-language services and service coordination for young children with developmental delays and disabilities from birth to three, and their families in Southern NH. Provide comprehensive developmental evaluations, treatment, counseling and family training within the home to meet the communication and developmental needs of young children with a wide variety of communication disorders, including: apraxia, Autism, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment, developmental delay, feeding challenges and impaired speech production skills. Develop and implement IFSPs and assist families with community resources and the transition to the public schools at three years of age.Gateways Therapy Services (GTS): Developed and launched out-patient speech-language services for GTS, serving children ages 3-9 years old in our new clinic setting. Responsibilities include setting up treatment room, materials, supervision of Clinical Fellow candidate, direct services for the evaluation and treatment of speech-language impairments/communication disorders, and the development of appropriate documentation and billing forms to meet state and insurance guidelines.

Provided speech-language pathology services for students, preschool - grade 8, on a contract basis for school districts in the Southern NH area. Provided diagnostic evaluations and speech-language therapy utilizing individual, small group and in-class therapy models. Implemented and developed IEPs, quarterly progress reports, Medicaid billing, parent communication and carryover activities.

Provided speech-language services and case management for preschool through third grade students at the Hollis Primary School who presented with a wide variety of communication disorders including apraxia, phonological processes, PDD/autism, TBI, cerebral palsy, ADHD, hearing impairment, medically fragile, epilepsy, learning disabilities, AAC and dysphagia. Responsibilities included the development and implementation of IEPs and RTI plans, progress monitoring and reporting, comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, case management, team meetings, supervision of speech and rehabilitative assistants, consultation with teachers and families to improve student outcomes. Member of the Sunshine, Child Study, Shared Decision Making and Literacy Action Teams.
