Working as a tour guide and College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) ambassador. Touring students, families, and the general public through the college's main building while discussing school history, application information for prospective students, and the CVM curriculum. As a CVM ambassador, I also attend and speak at community outreach events.

Performing mixed-species genetic comparison and analysis in the hopes of observing previously unidentified mutations of significance. Acquiring skills such as PCR, R Studio coding, phylogenic tree analysis (MEGA), and learning to navigate and properly read information provided by genome browsers, such as Ensembl, NCBI, and the UCSC genome browser.

Performed safe restraint techniques, blood draws, and radiograph imaging on small animals (dogs/cats) daily. Helped monitor hospitalized patients, record basic vital signs, run bloodwork (CBC, CHEM17, ACTH, etc), and occasionally helped carry out barium testing.

Technician mentored by Professor Jing Yan in the department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the Yale Science Building. Studied biofilm growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA14 strains in various environments, using a bulk rheometer to collect shear strain, shear stress, and force data from the specimens. Participated in a collaborative effort with the Murray Lab at the Yale School of Medicine to devise an experimental protocol that would allow us to test Cystic Fibrosis patient sputum bacterial rheological properties.
