Managed the award winning Watershed Landscape Project HLF Landscape Partnership Scheme (2009- 2013) from development through to delivery. A programme value of £ 3 M delivering over thirty projects over six themes of access, archaeology research, peat restoration and community engagement through a partnership spanning local authorities, utility companies and the voluntary sector. UK Landscape Award winner 2013.Development Manager for the South Pennines Local Nature Partnership ( 2013-present), securing funding for a wide range of social and physical projects under the banner of a ‘a landscape for the future, a space for everyone.’: Qualified with a Post Graduate Certificate in Flood Risk Management and helped to set up a new voluntary organisation ; Slow the Flow Calderdale (www.slowtheflow.net) delivering catchment-wide natural flood management measures.Devising, developing the Heritage Lottery Funded programme Celebrating our Woodland Heritage ( www.celebrate-our-woodland.co.uk) recruiting the team including a Woodland Heritage Officer and delivering over 200 Forest School workshops and trained over 50 Forest School practitioners.

Overseeing the work of six landscape architects on a wide range of landscape projects including design of community greenspace, playgrounds, urban realm, masterplans for former council housing areas in Leeds and urban regeneration projects. Working in partnership with ALMOs and housing associations deprived communities on design-led projects using new and novel forms of community consultation. Ensuring that the office is up to date in terms of IT and knowledge of current legislation [ including Construction Design Management ]. Day to day use of CAD as well as managing contract budgets and professional fees.

2004 - 2007 Secondment : Land Restoration Trust Development Manager Working with Regional Development Agencies on the restoration of a wide range of derelict sites; acting as part of the design team planning restoration through contract works to hand over. Developing a portfolio of ten sites in Yorkshire and the East Midlands of over 600 hectares of open space on former colliery spoil managed by the Forestry Commission. Assisting design solutions on 'speculative' sites such as Liverpool International Garden Festival and closed landfill sites within Thames Gateway.

Burnley

A key element of East Lancashire Regional Park with funding through Landfill Tax Credits and North West Development Agency to increase the extent of woodland in the Region. Liaison with landowners, local authorities to identify opportunities for woodland creation. Successfully planting of 200 hectares of woodland in 2004/5.

Production of Stage 1 submission to Heritage Lottery Fund's Urban Parks Programme for Towneley Park Restoration including costing over 100 landscape proposals , co-ordination of historical/ archaeological surveys. Contract management of capital programme. Refurbishment of football pitches [£ 250,000 Football Foundation award]. Project management of playground refurbishment programme throughout the Borough [£ 1M]; provision of facilities for young people, including new skate park [ £ 1M].Project managed Forest of Burnley [ £ 3.5 M Millennium Commission funded project]. Secured over £ 2 M of external funding from a number of bodies [Single Regeneration Bid, Neighbourhood Renewal, Football Foundation, Countryside Agency and Sport England]. Managed a team of six including two senior landscape architects, a woodland officer, tree officers, project officer and playground officers.

Review of Thames Chase Plan; vision document with land use proposals for the community forest influencing both regional policy in terms of the Regional Spatial Strategy. [ Including production of the landscape character assessment]. Production of feasibility report on off- road all purpose routes/ 'greenways' with Highway Engineers.Co-ordination of Woodland Trust's largest single Landfill Tax donation [ £ 1.5M] for the acquisition of land for woodland creation including design and consultation.Advice to landfill operators on 'best practice' with regard to the remediation of closed landfill sites to community woodland. Part of the national steering group developing Roots; a software programme assisting in the specification of woodland creation on derelict land. Marketing the Roots package to technical audiences including Chapters of the Landscape Institute, specific consultancies and contractors working with its author.

Project management of landscape contracts [ towpath & lockside refurbishment/ disabled access/ residential moorings]. Production of Canal Corridor Studies [encompassing landscape/ physical development/ amenity and nature conservation issues].Landscape input within masterplan / design guides working alongside engineers, surveyors and planners
