I wrote features and cover stories such as about the ABC, the push for a republic and the political, economic and social dominance of Sydney over the rest of the states.I won two journalism awards while working on the publication. They were:* The inaugural NSW Gay and Lesbian print media award for a cover story on gay rights. * In 1995, I came third (out of more than 200 entries) in the Australian Federation of AIDS organisations (AFAO) print media award for a feature on AIDS carers titled Lean on Me.
