Working in split role as both hardware engineer and hardware manager. Position is very hands on, requiring a lot of focus on new and existing product development.I have been with Peek Traffic for 10+ years where I have had continuous technical and career growth , I started as a product test technician at the Winchester, England location, before transferring to engineering where I worked as a Hardware technician and then as a application engineer. I transferred to peek Traffic in Florida in 1998 and since that time i have continued my career growth to my current position of senior hardware designer / Manager. As a engineer I design electronic equipment for the traffic monitoring, detection and intersection control ITS markets.Hardware design achievements include being the principle hardware design engineer for New York City Phase 3 Traffic control contract and developing both generations of Peeks ATC1000/2000 controller product range, the SG1000 Malfunction Monitoring Unit and R&D on next generation traffic control technology. During this time I have gained significant experience design equipment for out door use in -40C to +80C environments, powered from AC, DC or Battery sources.I participate as Peek's working group voting member on both the ATC transportation controller and ITS cabinet standards. On the management side, I am responsible for project management, identifying and proposing product development for existing and new markets, while providing technical oversight and guidance to junior staff.
