I owned the system documentation that the Diegesis team contracted to the ONS produced and ensured it was maintained to a high standard, with a particular focus on handover notes. I also ensured that technical tools developed and adopted by the team were adopted in a standardised way to maximise team efficiency and knowledge sharing.I was also responsible for the Diegesis team's participation in any potential Disaster Recovery situations, and ensured that contingency plans were effective and in place.

I managed a team of 12 delivering a complex project on the Diegesis contract with the Office for National Statistics. I co-ordinated the team to deliver several projects to implement technical upgrades while we provided business-as-usual support of the Ingres systems through a very busy and prominent time for the work of the ONS. Under my leadership, the team measurably increased its efficiency through automating routine tasks, compiling a trusted knowledge base, and maintaining and testing handover notes to facilitate rotation of roles.

Alongside providing business-as-usual technical support, I implemented changes to support the transition to remote working, led the migration of several applications from AIX to RHEL, and automated several manual jobs. I worked with Ingres SQL tools for database administration and bash scripts for Linux file manipulation
