As a fundraiser, I have raised money for my 501 c 3 non-profit, Angels Without Wings, Inc., for 6 national monuments to the Korean War hero horse, Sgt Reckless. Other war animal monuments in the works are for the Marine Corps military dog, Lucca K458. Our Animals in War and Peace Medal of Bravery was instituted in November 2019 at a ceremony on Capitol Hill. I wrote the NY Times Bestselling book, "Sgt Reckless: America's War Horse" and followed that book with "War Animals: The Unsung Heroes of World War II." These books have inspired six national monuments to Sgt Reckless and monuments to other war animals are in the works. Two new medals for animals, The Animals in War & Peace Medal of Bravery and The Animals in War & Peace Distinguished Service Medal were also inspired by these stories, and plans for a new Museum is also in the works.

I worked with Tom "Billy Jack" Laughlin and Delores Taylor Laughlin for over 30 years until Tom's death in 2013. I started out as an Executive Assistant and worked my way up to co-writer and Producer on Laughlin's projects. I am co-author with Tom Laughin of "The 9 Indispensable Ingredients in Every Hit Film, TV Show, Play and Novel," as well as doing research and writing on his "Psychology of Cancer" and other books in Jungian Psychology. Laughlin was a maverick, and I had to keep up with his intensity and drive. He instilled in me an incredible work ethic and the power to reinvent myself every day if I needed to. There's nothing a little ingenuity and hard work can't make happen.
