Messy Play Kits (a DBA of Hands on Parenting, LLC) is a company supporting and promoting play-based learning for children through engaging classes and products. We focus on sensory play for children ages 1-10, and offer messy play classes, activities for birthday parties, and sell Messy Play Kits, Slime Kits and Sensory Bins on our website: messyplaykits.com. We've recently launched Slime of the Day (www.slimeoftheday.com) as a subsidiary, where we sell a new Slime Kit every day through the website!

Responsible for managing all breast pump rentals through DayOne Baby. Coordinates multiple delivery methods, customer satisfaction with rental process, and creating new online workflow. Launched a breastpump pop up store within a well-known hospital, following hospital protocols, created a rental process and training program, and hired, trained and managed staff.

Baby Bump And Beyond

I started Baby Bump and Beyond as a way to reach out to parents in the Greater Boston Area. I am a certified lactation counselor and infant massage instructor, a certified Happiest Baby educator, as well as a postpartum doula. I also run Messy Play groups for toddlers and preschoolers. I aim to support and educate parents as they navigate the transition to parenthood and beyond.Update: I moved to CA in August 2014 and started a new company in the SF Bay Area as a local extension of Baby Bump and Beyond, called Hands on Parenting LLC (DBA Messy Play, Messy Play Kits). Baby Bump and Beyond is no longer in operation because of the move to CA.

Worked various short-term and long-term nanny jobs for families in Boston. Basic childcare in hotel/home, plus providing activities and games, outings, adventures. Administered medications as needed and worked with children with special needs. Experience with twins, and newborn infants as well.

Planned and implemented small- and large-group curriculum, maintained classroom environment, mentored undergraduates in the field of Early Childhood Education. Extensive self-reflection and evaluation as well.

Grafenwoehr, Germany

Worked as an intern on a US Military base in Germany, providing regular CDC staff extra support in the classrooms. Primarily worked in the toddler rooms with children ages 18-36 months, but occasionally worked with all age groups in the center (6 wks-6 yrs). Practice coteaching, design and implementation of curriculum, work with at-risk children from active duty military families.Part of an internship through the University of Northern Iowa where I received graduate school credit for one semester.
