My work focuses on helping organizations tell great stories, drive conversations that matter, change behaviors, and give passion and purpose a voice. I do this by harnessing the power and potential of marketing and communications to build, protect and promote the people, brands, technologies, and reputations of high-growth startups and Fortune 50 leaders. I’ve lived and worked in nine cities across five countries in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East while doing so.I lead communications for Neo4j, the graph database and analytics leader and category pioneer. Graph is rapidly becoming the default database for machine learning and AI applications, and underpinning GenAI deployments given its ability to solve for GenAI hallucinations, make results transparent and explainable to normal humans, and serve as more efficient long-term memory for LLMs.Prior to Neo4j, I was global technology practice chair at Ruder Finn, following more than 20 years at Edelman and the WPP network of PR firms. Much of my work has involved building and leading teams across disciplines and geographies (more than once from scratch), managing in-house teams as an embedded comms head with several multinationals, and going in deep to do the hard work. I distill complex, nuanced, and often technical ideas into accessible ones, connecting the dots in ways that anyone can understand, support, and act on. Prior to my agency career, I led award-winning youth awareness campaigns and worked for the BBC. My advocacy work comes via my role as regional Board member and prior Board Chair for UNICEF USA, the humanitarian organization that saves more children’s lives than any other NGO on the planet. UNICEF's impact inspires and humbles me every day. I believe that leadership is as much about what we leave behind as it is about what we create and enable for others. I enjoy cartooning (was once a professional illustrator), great books, new recipes, long hikes, family, and exploring new neighborhoods both close by and far away.
