I have fifteen years of working with the Audit Services Office of Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) in Indianapolis, IN. As Senior Compliance Auditor, PAT I, I specialize in auditing Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) grants. Each agency has a grant that has approximately 11 programs. I am the lead auditor on all the AAA grants. These are labeled as complex audits because a number of the programs within the grant are governed by different federal/state statues and policies. I also audit the Adult Guardianship grants. I audit Waiver providers that furnish our clients with skilled and unskilled respite care, attendant and homemaker care, substance abuse and prevention treatment, and children mental health wraparound services, to name a few. I audit the IT contract for Division of Family Resource (DFR) customer service desk, contracts that service the FSSA substance abuse and treatment programs, First Steps, and several smaller providers. I have a Bachelor in Accounting and a Masters of Science in Management and Leadership. They both are beneficial in the small business I have in preparing federal and state income taxes and providing accounting services as well as my position as senior auditor at FSSA.I have grandchildren so my spare time is lovingly spent with family activities. I also work with the other side of my brain to relax and stay centered. I enjoy writing short stories, sewing, and volunteering.
