Being chair of the supervisory board includes leading the supervisory board, being contact of the KEI foundation for all stakeholders (e.g. University of Groningen, Hanze University of Applied Science and the municipality of Groningen) and makes sure that the organization runs smoothly. The chair is in general responsible for the KEI foundation.

The Supervisory Board is the advisory board of the KEI foundation. She advises and monitors the Executive Board, ensures that the organization of the KEI-week is going well and focuses on the longer-term policy of the KEI foundation. Every month the Executive and Supervisory Board have a meeting where important documents like policy plans and budgets are discussed.
