Responsible for all aspects of advertising sales to include: Generating leads, extensive follow-up, customer service, contract renewals, sponsorship negotiations, traffic coordinator, design of promotional materials & media kits • Generate new leads & solicit new clients• Develop & build relationships with clients • Follow-up with clients/finalize negotiations • Ensure client contract is fulfilled once it has been consummated • Ensure marketing materials are received in a timely manner & that ads are submitted on time & in the correct format & size• Acquire logos, copy & photos for ads designed in-house• Act as a liaison between the client and our designer • Provide clients with proofs & revisions of their ads• Maintain a detailed schedule of when items are due • Implement a time line of what is scheduled, what materials have been received & any pending requests to bring to the attention of the production department. • Compile a monthly list to present our Editor w/details on advertisers, their respective ad sizes, etc.• Ensure all ads have been sent to our Editor, & that all ads are the correct/final/proofed versions • Ensure that in-kind ad trades & sponsorships are being implemented• Proof each issue prior to printing to ensure all contracted advertisers are included • Prepare & present our Finance Associate with a detailed, itemized ad list for billing purposes each month• Ensure new accounts are prepaid & collect monies when accounts are past due• Client relations & customer satisfaction • Designs, proofs & prepares media kits• Oversees the distribution of The Jewish News to more than 80 retail locations each month & CONNECTIONS Magazine distribution in high season
