Program Controls & Planning office is a group to support the effective program planning, program controls, financial control, forecasting, contract management and a range of other functions for projects/programs undertaken within the Corporation. This covers the spectrum from initial concept design package, tender preparation and tender evaluation through to development and consolidation of the overall program control, planning and reporting.I am responsible for the full range of project/program/portfolio management, financial management and overall planning functions within the Capital Projects Department. These include project/program scheduling, cost control & estimating, reporting, strategic planning, project accounting, procurement & contract administration; risk identification assessment and management; resource management and drive implementation improvements to increase the department’s capability and capacity in program and project delivery.

In line with Client requirements, support the effective programming, co-ordination, cost control, forecasting and a range of other functions for projects undertaken within the Corporation. This covers the spectrum from initial concept design package, tender preparation through to development and consolidation of the overall program scheduling and financial control, updating and reporting. Ensure that the safety of the operating system is not compromised during planning, scheduling and resourcing of project undertakings and safety awareness of any workforce is at the forefront of any site activities. Planning and coordination of contracts to ensure the Corporation conducts works in a competitive, efficient and cost effective manner with emphasis on safety, project delivery and financial performance. Assist in the identification of work practices, work methods and productivity improvements that can be made during the development, planning, and implementation of the project and for the long-term benefit of the Corporation.

Work with the Portfolio Manager and provide support in analyzing and reporting on an aggregated view of the region project portfolio. This included information gathering, analyzing, validating and reconsolidation; review monthly project reports; coordinate the stage gating, master scheduling maintenance, fund gating process and FTE forecast across regional technology projects; ensure accurate and timely information is provided for key stakeholders; prepare monthly and quarterly submissions to relevant committee.(Involved in NAB Next Generation system upgrade program as project analyst)

Work with program manager and project commercial manager to ensure programs & projects on track. Manage programs schedules & resource plans. (Involved in Telstra 3G upgrade program as project controller)Develop and interpret various project reporting process solutions for all levels of management within the project. This included business requirements and objectives capturing; business data reconsolidation, validating, integration, and analysis; conduct difference forecasting according to analysis; maintain project monthly reports. This role also grew into analysis of all aspects of ASP (Contract Company) related data including design and drawing analysis, claims and quote reviews, also preparation of reports for senior management, instruction manuals and technical guides to the various systems to minimize risk to Ericsson.

Successfully implemented RMIT campus IP base CCTV security surveillance system upgrading and Qantas freight CCTV security surveillance system integration. This included prepare project specification; Plan, maintain and report project progress using MS project; Meet with client and contractors every week to make sure project on track and delegate specific actions for next week. Monitor sources and contractors, which ensure particular milestone reached on time. Adopt feedback from customer in order to improve service in the future.
