Recently started helping DP Productions develop a marketing plan and plan for production of a movie called Friday Afternoon. It is based on a short story called Friday Afternoon by T.D. Johnston.Perform editing and make copies of movies for the Lake Arrowhead Film Festival. Create montages of film clips to show at the award ceremony for outstanding achievement of a celebrity. Put movie previews onto one DVD to show in the lobby so people can see what movies are shown that weekend. Preview all the movies to make sure there will be no problems at the event. Robin’s film editing and technical knowledge contributed to the improved success of the Lake Arrowhead Film Festival since 2006. •Was praised by the President of the film festival for the service given each year. •Prevented or fixed several problems that helped keep the planning of the festival on track. •Setup and operated the audio and visual equipment for two years.

Responsible for quality control of parts made at the machine shop and assembly of wastewater treatment equipment. Assemble electrical control panels and assemble piping for liquid transfer. Train customers on the operations of wastewater treatment equipment. Advise the owner on how to build the business.•Adhere to contract agreements between MPI and client•Recommend changes as needed to help improve equipment design characteristics•Assemble, operate, and troubleshoot the evaporator unit requires having technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems.•Oversee the machining process to make sure design specifications are being met.• Assembled an electrical control panel, assembled piping and mounted pumps for a wastewater sewage tank on a cruise ship.• Had several discussions with the owner on designing an evaporator that led to developing the current business.• Rewrote the business plan so it can be given to potential investors for the new business venture.

Enjoyed building stage sets for live theatrical performances each school quarter. Worked with timelines and worked carefully so not to make mistakes. Theatre is also an excellent way to learn team building for it takes a team to go from a script to opening night in nine weeks with a budget and no major mistakes could be afforded. This knowledge can be used in a business to help improve work relations and resolve conflicts.• Helped build seven stage sets for theatrical performances.• Trained students to work safely, how to use power tools, and work with wood and metal. Some had never used power tools or hand tools ever in their life.

Used my business knowledge to help the Artistic Director manage the growth of the business and act in the plays. In fall 2008, the Artistic Director and Robin put on “A Christmas Carol” theatrical performance from script to opening night in eight weeks with four people doing about ninety percent of the work to get the play into production with eighteen actors. It was successful with positive feedback from everyone who saw the show. • Designed and built the stage sets, lighting design and sound design for three theatre plays.• Help develop marketing ideas for the growth of the business.

The pet store was highly praised by many customers for the service that it provided and Robin continued to provide this level of service after he was hired. He developed skills in retail sales and customer interaction. • Converted about 90% of the customers who fed their pet(s) junk food into buying healthier food. These customers came back saying their pet(s) shed less, lost weight, more energetic, less poop to clean up, and feeding less food. Some pets that had health problems were cured eating healthier food.• Used marketing skills to reorganize the products and shelving at the owner’s other store to make it more presentable to the customers.• Maintained inventory and ordered product to restock shelves.

These three work experiences were done while attending college to gain insight into what it took to setup a concert, make a movie, and run a radio station. The purpose of working these jobs was to gain managing knowledge by studying the processes and experience the amount of work it took to plan, budget, create, and present a live show or a movie to an audience. The workday’s were16 – 18 hours long, experienced frustrations of dealing with problems, the joys of a successful show, and having to improvise to fix problems on the spot. Trained students how to become Dee Jays and operate the control boards. Worked all tasks it takes to film a movie: Acted, Grip, PA, Lighting, Sound & Boom Mic, and Film Loading. Post production, do Voiceover recordings with the actors.• The person Robin worked with for the Lake Arrowhead Performing Arts saw his work ethics while helping Mile High Hollywood at an event and he hired Robin to help him setup concert stages with sound and lighting.• Robin helped save Coyote Radio from shut down due to school budget cuts and outlined the operational design of the station for future growth. The radio station is now an important curriculum for students to learn the operations of a radio station and it is the only college radio station featured on iTunes.• Developed a knowledge base on what not to do and the importance of understanding time management and the importance of time concept on how long it really takes to do a task. Believing that 5 minutes in concept is really 30 minutes in real time is not healthy when on a budget and people are waiting to get work done. Robin had to inform the owner of Mile High that his concept of time is hurting his business.

Parallel Products produces industrial and fuel grade ethanol from liquid waste of the food and beverage industries. This was a startup business in 1985 and Robin developed the Special Project and E.H. & S. job position from nonexistent to a specialized need for the business. He worked every aspect of the business such as: laborer, supervising, managing, handling client needs, budgeting, shipping and receiving, designing, maintenance, equipment operator, calling vendors/contractors for bids, solved operational problems, conducted or participated in meetings, worked with government agencies, attended seminars, and much more. This was a unique business and the only business like it in the U.S. and it served a unique market. •This job position required technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, pumping, piping, thermodynamics, chemical, biochemical, industrial process, and computers.•It required knowledge of BATF, DOT, EPA, OSHA, Fire Codes, and other government agency laws and regulations.•Determined specifications, researched, and purchased needed equipment and materials for production operations.•Sought service contractors as needed for construction projects using Request for Proposals.•Used formal or informal bids and verbal or written contracts as needed for construction projects.•Sought price breaks for high quantity items.•Maintained great relations with vendors, clients, and customers.• Developed an innovative design to rebuild an old winery that sections were from 25 – 90 years old using existing tanks, buildings, and property to meet current Fire Code Regulations.• Created Excel spreadsheets that were used for material balancing to determine actual ethanol recovery from potential conversion to ethanol from sugars; determine energy costs per gallon produce, and figure out liquor tax reimbursement on client’s products that were destroyed for ethanol recovery for this was required by BATF to return the liquor tax money.
