I have a wide range of life experiences such as running my own business, working in a Psychiatric hospital also 18 years in a specialist Medical unit in the Territorial Army as well as 27 years plus for Social Care. My interest lies with Children who have disabilities and especially those who are cared for in residential establishments. My current role is as an IRO for Suffolk safeguading 18.5 hrs per week Chairing Looked After Children Reviews, Adoption Reviews and Care Plan Conferences. Ensuring robust Care Plans are developed, Pathway Plans completed and realistic attainable transitional plans for disabled children are in place. Developing and implementing evaluation frameworks for LAC and Child Protection Systems. Provide advice and consultancy within the Department. To ensure robust and effective operational links between different professionals and agencies. To assist in ensuring a performance management system compliments a sophisticated Safeguarding and Quality assurance mechanism.
