Nursing Degree - LPN from St.Joseph School of practical nursing. Work Experience - Started my nursing career at Metro General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. My experiences were in maturity, nursery, and delivery. From Metro General I moved to St. Joesph Hospital in Lorain, Ohio. My work experience at St. Joesph Hospital was in Neurology, Thorasic, and Oncology Nursing. In 1986 I made a career move to work with people with intellectual and physical disablities. My first experience was at Ourl Lady of the Wayside in Avon, Ohio. I worked as a LPN for 1 year then promoted to House Director. This was a private run organization which provided their own day programing. My experience with Our Lady of the Wayside was managing all 15 individuals medical needs, programing, and supervision of 12 staff and house needs. In 1991 I moved to Echoing Hills Village, Inc. Echoing Hills Village, Inc started in Warsaw Ohio with camp. In 1991 a vision to open 8 bed ICF Homes became implemented. In 1991 at the start of my employment one 8 bed group home was opened. Within the next 3 years the other 6 groups home were opened. I started as a LPN house nurse. My duties also included covering for the DON in their absence. In 2011 I became Nursing Supervisor of Echoig Lake Residential Homes. In 2012 I became selected to be on Person Center Practice Steering Committee to enrich the life's of the individauls who we support at Echoing Hills Village, Inc. In 2013 I was selected to facilitate Person Center Practice in our orientation of new and present employees. I continue to use my nursing assessment skills, management skills, and leadership skills here at Echoing Hills Village, Inc.
