I am a lifetime communicator. Having had successful careers in journalism and communications for legislative leaders in two states, I am now nearly five years into a third career in state agency communications. I was lucky enough to know what I wanted to do when he was only nine and began my newspaper career at 17. Working at a community newspaper, I was immersed in the stories I covered like the abduction and murder of a little girl from our neighborhood and the tornado that destroyed hundreds of homes just blocks from my own. From local politics to visits by four presidents and from high school sports to domestic terrorism, I had a unique seat from which to view the world.Politics and leadership are all about communication and over a decade and a half, I had the great honor to help shape the message of historic leaders in Oklahoma and Oregon.My latest gig is helping people understand the value of a voluntary compliance tax collection system and how those in need can use the tax code to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.When I’m not at work? I love the outdoors. If you can bike or hike it, I like it.
