After 34 years and a career progression of 6 feet I have finally been put onto "Special" projects. Joining all of my fellow ex- inmates in the land of the free is now a real possibility. The planned introduction of a reverse only parking mandate will undoubtedly be my final undoing as my cynicism and compete lack of manoeuvring skills will again bring me to the attention of the powers that be.Wish me luck and pity all of the other inmates ... well their cars at any rate .. May be the time to invest in a body repair shop .....?An update - My escape has been successful and I have finally been able to move on from the temporary position I started in 1989. Now to find my way in the world and start my career.
