The procurement team is responsible for developing supply strategies, supplier selection, contract negotiation and inventory management in support of manufacturing operations. The group managed an annual budget of $80 million across a broad range of local, national and international suppliers. Durant my tenure as manager of this team a number of new suppliers were developed and sustained annual savings of more than ten percent were achieved.

The responsibilities of this position included supporting marketing strategies, planning of strategic investments, establishing pricing, monitoring market conditions and competitive evaluations. I completed several strategic business studies in support of the continued business and technical leadership of the site during this period.

In this position I was responsible for implementing new processes and products, developing new technologies, equipment design and supporting manufacturing operations. During this period my team developed a number of new processes and innovative products and supported several production transitions for the site.

The quality manager is responsible for managing quality programs, customer satisfaction and maintaining reliability monitoring. During my tenure in this position the Bromont site integrated new quality standards and was certified ISO 9000.

Manager of a team of operators, technicians and maintenance personnel in a non- unionized environment. My group adopted new work schedules in support of growth in production as well as the implementation of new technologies and was able to substantially increase production output from the existing equipment.

Responsible for development, implementation and support of production processes. My principal role was to develop and stabilize a new process and to supervise the installation and startup of a $25 million expansion in production operations. This project included working with counterparts in the US and Germany and involved an international assignment to ensure technology transfer and training of the team.

Responsible for managing a polymer resin manufacturing plant. This position included technical support, quality management, workplace safety, environmental compliance and managing an annual budget of $20 million in a unionized environment. I was responsible for planning of infrastructure budgets and was involved in adopting new and stricter standards for drinking water quality. I participated in and helped to organize a coalition to conserve emergency services at the Brome-Missisquoi Perkins regional hospital. I orchestrated involvement across party lines from three levels of government as well as obtaining the commitment of interested parties and a petition was circulated which obtained more than 20,000 signatures. These efforts resulted in revisiting the previous decision of the Régie Régionale and the certification of the hospital to continue to offer critical care services was confirmed. IBM Canada Special Contribution awards in 1994 and 2000. Monsanto Canada Special Contribution award in 1982, following the restructuring of operations at the Lasalle, Quebec plant which remained the last operating facility in Canada.OTHER INTERESTS Advisor and member of the board of the environmental group Renaissance Lac Brome 2006 - 2007.
