The Garces Foundation supports the underserved immigrant community of Philadelphia with free and vital health care as well as low-cost English language classes. We have helped thousands of people. Our goal is to see that Philadelphia's vibrant immigrant community has access to the care and education they need and in turn, they may actively contribute their talents to making this city world-class.

• Hired as coordinator in 2006 and promoted to manager and director • Oversaw and managed content, including debates, panels and conversations at the National Constitution Center (NCC) in support of the museum’s mission• Produced programs featuring high-profile guests, such as Justice Sonia Sotomayor and Vice President Al Gore, to engage national and regional audiences around contemporary American issues • Expanded and increased NCC profile to a national audience using traditional and new media, including podcasts, live streaming, press coverage, and C-SPAN• Secured strong local and national relationships and partnerships including WNYC and Vision 2020• Managed over 60 events for diverse audiences ranging from 100-800 people• Served as co-host for “Emancipation 150: From the Emancipation to the Great Migration,” featured on C-SPAN and made into a one-hour radio show on WNYC• Managed public engagement department team of four that coordinated logistics, media relations, and registration • Responsible for department budgeting • Served as project manager for new traveling Town Hall debate series • Collaborated with the development department to increase membership and win grants, including a multi-million dollar award from the John Templeton Foundation
