- Manage 14 Middle Market Relationship Officers in Alaska, Oregon and Washington.- Manage the documentary exception clearing process to insure perfected transaction packages.- Oversee Conditions of Approvals insuring closure time frames within standards.- Daily interaction with operations managers on system upgrades, as well as deal, loan operations and personnel issues.- Monthly calls with Sales Team Leaders - Monthly meetings with all direct reports for updates on deals, market sales activity,employee performance, and interactions with other bank units and partners.- Sets strategy, gives direction, and drives accountability for results in regional service organization, by influencing processes, activities, and use of systems to ensure that they are both client service oriented and attentive to managing risk and value-added. - Proactively identifies and champions the resolution of client service issues (internal and external)- Leads cross-functional or cross-segment teams to achieve common goals for service delivery and asset quality/risk management - Effectively oversees the loan closing processes for region’s relationship teams, to ensure pre-closing compliance with loan approval and credit policy, integrity in documentation (pre- and post-closing, and “watch” credits), exception management, combined with a consistently high level of client satisfaction.- Actively serves as a member of the regional Commercial Banking management team and supports the Regional LOB Executives as needed. - Travels on a periodic basis to meet with Relationship Teams, attend bank, client, and educational meetings and events

Essential Functions- Supervise the daily activities of the Commercial Loan Documentation Specialists and Loan Boarding Specialists.- Review incoming documentation requests for appropriate lending authority and structure. Address loan approval and policy exceptions with the appropriate lending officer or support staff.- Provide C&I, CRE and Agricultural loan policy and procedure support to loan officers and support staff.- Oversee the training of new employees in commercial loan documentation and lending compliance regulations.- Audit collateral files to ensure appropriate loan documentation and security perfection, and to identify staff training needs.- Oversee the department’s training on Laser Pro documentation software.- Provide training and assistance to the department in accurate and complete core loan system data entry.- Instruct loan documentation and boarding staff of changes and updates in lending compliance regulations.- Conduct employee performance evaluations and monitor and address substandard performance issues.- Responsible for identifying department staffing requirements, job applicant interviews and hiring qualified applicants.- Review and monitor department’s critical system maintenance reports for exceptions.- Oversee the origination of real estate escrow tracking, and the reconciliation of the real estate tax service account.- Assist department manager in the development and maintenance of department’s policy and procedure manual.- Participate in required training on pertinent compliance laws and regulations as required by Banner Bank.- Provide procedural topics for publication in the department’s Bannernet web page.- Comply with and ensure staff complies with policies, procedures, security requirements and government regulations.

- Assists RM in preparing loan requests for processing by Credit Analysts and the Loan Servicing Center. - Orders credit reports, UCC searches, title commitments, flood determinations and appraisal engagement letters as needed. - Processes loan payments and payoffs. - Obtains and maintains financial documents for commercial, agricultural and real estate loans to ensure the Bank maintains current records relating to business entity. - Works with lenders to ensure correct combination of documents prepared/received to secure legal interest of the Bank. - Prepares commitment letters and other correspondence as needed. - Disburses loan proceeds as authorized. - Provides assistance in scheduling appointments for officers as requested. - Maintains advance sheets for lines of credit and construction loans. - Assists with collection of updated financials. - Assists with follow-up on past due payments. - Performs other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:Managed a team of 7 Loan Service Specialists. Staff reduction processed in 2008 reduced staff by 3 employees. Assisting and overseeing the daily prioritizing and delegating of workflow to insure the highest level of quality.Process all SBA repurchase, selling, servicing and packing. All repurchases and selling have been received with no exceptions. Oversee and prepare loan documentation for commercial, real estate, SBA, consumer (including personal lines of credit) and business manager accounts. Our department documented around 450 commercial and 50 consumer loans monthly, along with about 5 – 10 SBA loans monthly.Monitor and track consumer disclosures required by federal and state agencies, updated financial statement information, monthly aging and insurance.Ensure that all loan requests have been approved according to bank policies and are within designated lending limits.Track the status of all loan closing documents, including title insurance, hazard insurance, recorded documents and customer follow up items.Trouble shoots and resolves problems within the department.Responsible for performance reviews, goal setting and any additional training needed to help the growth of our team.Ability to produce and audit documents for commercial, consumer, real estate, maritime and all SBA loans.Responsible for periodic review of department internal control procedures. Obtain better vendors for the banks needs and put in place.Work with outside auditors and/or examiners to obtain all requested items and files for an audit and enact all necessary changes recommended by said auditor and/or examiner.Build any programs for new loan.
