As the Information Officer at the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS), I oversee the development and implementation of fire and emergency services education and training programs, ensuring compliance with national and international standards and best practices. I also manage the IFSAC and ProBoard accreditation and coaching agents for the IDHS Fire Academy, which provides certification and credentialing for fire professionals in Indiana and beyond.With over 20 years of experience in the public safety industry, I have a proven track record of leading and supporting various fire and rescue operations, both at the local and federal level. I am currently the Deputy Chief of Operations at Sugar Creek Township Fire Department and a USAR Command Staff Member at Indiana Task Force 1, a federal urban search and rescue team that responds to disasters across the country. I am passionate about enhancing the skills and knowledge of fire and emergency services personnel, and advancing the field of fire services administration.
