As a Senior Project Manager for Astound Group, I plan, coordinate, and manage the completion of various projects through the Tualatin shop/facility. My goal is to ensure compliance of all project targets - timing, cost, and quality. I enjoy maintaining client relationships and having interactions with various teams - (internally / externally). This role gathers project requirements, establishes project plans, confirms costs, maintains budgets, and oversees the overall execution of the project. I maintain operational project files on a server and arrange the design team to create detailed drawings needed for the project. I lead kick off meetings and troubleshoot any problems that arise during the production process. While managing my own projects, I also provide feedback and/or advice to the project management and sales team when needed.

I worked for Flatline Fabrication, Inc. as the Project Management Lead. In this position, I establish and maintain relationships with our internal teams, customers, suppliers, and vendors. I manage fabrication projects from the beginning design phase to closeout and delivery. I work with a wide variety of clients in retail, construction, high tech, and design firms. The position has given me the ability to create new prototypes and aid in product development. I also help with long term strategies and create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals. I assist with employee training, project negotiation, cost estimating, and companywide communication at all levels of management. I create quotes based on provided drawings, hold kickoff meetings, source materials, and create critical paths moving forward for all awarded contracts. Customer service, budgeting, coordinating, and scheduling are all vital to being successful in this position.

I began working for Flatline Fabrication, Inc. as a Project Manager. Working for Flatline gave me the opportunity to fine tune my project management skills, while giving me the freedom to get in touch with my creative side. Every day I learned something new and felt that I have a creative support team. I truly enjoyed coming to work and took pride in each job that I managed. As a project manager, I assisted with estimates, ordered materials, ran kick off meetings, managed projects through the shop, and met strict timelines. I worked directly with all aspects of the company including the sales team, design team (engineers & draw), production team, finishing team, accounting dept., and shipping dept. I enjoyed working with local companies and witnessing our completed projects around Portland.

I worked for Wyse Real Estate Advisors, a commercial property management firm as a Project Services Manager. I supported the VP of Construction with tenant improvement projects, preconstruction meetings, property inspections, and helped triage emergencies on a daily basis. I was also given the opportunity to manage some of my own tenant improvement projects from start to finish. I spent time in and out of the office helping keep our buildings sustained and tenants content. Many of my tasks involved being a liaison between the tenants, property managers, and vendors from many different trades. I requested bids from multiple subcontractors, examined bids in detail, and awarded work to the appropriate contractor. I think keeping good relationships with all my vendors and team members was crucial to my job success. I managed many capital improvement projects and use Excel to track facility maintenance items for all our properties. Much of my job was managing projects, diagnosing problems, coordinating work, dispatching contractors, and tracking service requests.
