Having spent 10 years in Financial Services and 15+ years in Higher Education I am now pursuing my passion for all things computer related by running an IT Support and Services Company, RedFez, with my wife, Helen. I was responsible for delivery of 2 of the University's key activities - Timetabling and Exams. My role involved reviewing processes, planning, and reporting and managing the data flows throughout the processes. I successfully managed the move to offsite exam provision and lead on the transfer of a large number of the processes over to a new Student Records System.

I was responsible for resource planning and monitoring progress against the goals and objectives of the department, advising University management on policy, functional and service priorities, writing formal and procedural documentation and providing strategic and operational leadership.

I was responsible for oversight and management of all centrally organised examinations and the main teaching timetable at the University of Hull. These were key areas which required extensive organisation and careful planning as well as good data management and reorting to meet strict, non-negotiable deadlines. I oversaw the introduction of Online Timetables across the institution.

In addition to managing the office and IT provision across the school, was co-ordinator of the pioneering and unique Postgraduate Training Scheme (PGTS), the only accredited and compulsory training scheme in the UK for research students. I developed two annual week-long residential schools as part of the scheme to assist in the provision of the scheme to our extensive overseas and part-time PhD student base. I was part of the team responsible for the governance of Christ Church, Cottingham, an Independent Evangelical Church affiliated to the FIEC. I fulfilled the role of Treasurer. and instituted new systems and processes to support the change in structures and ambitious building project of the church

I provided a tailored service to customers, assessing their financial portfolio and needs and providing a written report of recommendations from a portfolio of products. I achieved full CeFA and CeMAP certification.
