Head Softball Coach.

I teach aspiring fastpitch softball players (COACH) the art of being on the mound and what it means on and off the field. Mentally, physically, preparation, skill, fundamentals, psychology and more.

Entering the position as a part time employee working into a full time position where I helped a Junior College transform its Woman's Soccer and Softball Programs into NCAA Div. III level programs. I also started the newly formed Student Athlete Advisory Committee where the students have a voice in policies, procedures, and well really a checks and balance of what is happening in the programs. Our SAAC was focusing on working together and supporting one another while working with our Dept. and College to promote and provide a healthy environment for our student/athletes to succeed. Items that SAAC was asking to be put in place include: Drug and Alcohol use policy and testing to be held accountable, they were asking for a period of time (block) to allow for not only student/athletes to utilize but other groups on campus as well, SAAC was asking for a 2.0 GPA standard for all athletes across the board to acquire and obtain with steps in place to reach that goal or athletes would not be allowed to participate. SAAC also did community outreach events that many of our student athletes participated in and was getting off the ground more and more each year. One project was a community leaf raking day that went well where our student athletes thanks community members while we actually got out there and raked their lawns. Students enjoyed the process! SAAC also helped another organizer on campus and we made possible through student/athletes help seven days of service where we painted the inside of a building downtown for the Community Action Center, cleaned out the Food Pantry and so on. We also partnered with Morrisville Elementary and had student athletes read to Elementary Students. Softball in particular went to the Ronald McDonald house in Syracuse to paint the old rooms before they moved to the new building. Fitness Center, opening at 7am.Traveled extensively bringing back information to admissions for possible future recruits and contacts.
