Child Care Aware of Missouri believes every child deserves a safe, quality, early childhood education experience which is critical to maximize their future well-being. Making a difference for children in the first 2,000 days so they are successful in school and later in life drives our work and our mission to raise the quality of early learning experiences.

Transformational leadership is about helping others on my team excel and impacting my community and the early childhood education field I work within. Being a Maxwell Certified Leader allows me to expand my learning while surrounding myself with high-caliber leaders and mentors.

Coordinated and planned special events, fundraising/donor cultivation, grant writing, community relations, marketing, and public awareness of HavenHouse and its services.

Held a three different positions (Program Coordinator, Assistant Director, and Chief of Community Engagement). Led efforts to advance the organization in the arenas of customer and stakeholder engagement; advances in state and federal public policy; project management including vendor relationships, contract management and monitoring; data management; emergency planning and response; cause marketing including social media; public relations; supervise internal and external staff including off-site operations of referral services; represent organization on state level committees; responsibilities in human resources; event planning responsibilities; spokesperson with funders, state agencies, business leaders, legislators whose decision-making may affect the organization; and represented organization on state level committees.

Served as Assistant Director of organization including supervision of 15 staff while being accountable for over $4 million dollars allocated to programs serving children ages 0-5. Developed and maintained relationships in the business and industry arena to include the Economic Development Commission to influence capacity building efforts.
