Piccone's athletic, body conscious styles instantly became a fashion classic, widely imitated throughout the the years. The Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s permanent collection includes two of her original neoprene swimsuits. For her achievements in changing the swimwear landscape, Piccone was honored with the California Designer of the Year award. Piccone launched her signature label in 1992. Her collection is known for luxurious fabrics and attention to detail.
