I have been an educator for over 25 years, and 13 years working with Students with Disabilities. I have a Highly Effective Rating from the DOE. I have taught all ages but specialize in middle school math. I have developed programs, assessments, learning units of study, led Professional Developments, mentored new teachers, trained in IEP writing, alternate assessment, Universal Design for Learning, Wilson Reading Program, Cognitive Thinking Maps, and worked as an advocate for my students. Most recently, my work involves monitoring IEPs for effectiveness and compliance. I am most interested in pursuing work out of the classroom in a supervisory capacity ensuring the compliance of districts with Federal regulations surrounding the implementation of the IEP. I am passionate about education, and students' educational rights guaranteed to them via Federal regulation.
