My background is in the molecular sciences with a PhD in neuroscience focused on in vitro models of the developing brain. After some experience with industry and in vitro diagnostics, I'm now working together with industry and academic partners to employ high throughput screening on brain organoids. Experience from industry and quality control systems will help us to structure academic research into a project that can be utilized for the progression of biological HTS systems. In my PhD, I have worked on neurodevelopment and the best ways to replicate this intricate process in the laboratory. One of my goals would be using brain organoids to develop and test the next breakthrough drug or method and I would like to share this with as many organoid enthusiasts as possible. I believe in the use for 3D human derived models to advance medicine. Colleagues often describe me as a problem solver that is dedicated to the project, that is always open to a new angle.
