Provide senior level engineering expertise to A-10 Chief Engineer regarding A-10 Attack aircraft hardware and software upgrades. Coordinate a cross-disciplinary team of Engineering and Global Sustainment personnel from both private industry and government teams providing on-site engineering services and technical support to the U.S Government customer. Develop high level Plans, Processes and Specifications, and contract language as directed by top System Program Office leadership. Perform technical analysis for subsystem components and/or software, component validation/verification, risk analyses and assessments of component supportability. Coordinate multiple, complex hardware and software modifications to ensure they are synchronized accurately to install correctly. Ensure the logical and systematic derivation of component and associated interface requirements into design solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify and quantify associated risks to cost, schedule and performance. Ensure that capabilities and upgrades are delivered to the Theater of War in time to meet pilot mission requirements in a joint forces scenario. All systems must inter-operate accurately in environmentally challenging areas under g-force strains

Provide overall program direction concerning the configuration item definition and how it will be controlled for various multi-million/billion dollar programs. Analyze proposed program changes of product hardware/software designs to determine effect on overall cost and performance of the system. Coordinate with upper management the modification records for control and the reduction/identification of program potential risks. Jump started earned value management for the department during program phases. Coordination of proposal activities, contract terms and conditions. Establish change orders and prepare for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Prepare reports of change effect on overall product. Stood up a department of 8 configuration managers that managed both hardware and software structures in multimillion dollar programs. These configurations were used to meet customer driven contract requirements for High Speed Train refurbishment and manufacturing to support New York Transit and other Alstom projects.
