• Biweekly in-house payroll processing for 700-1000 employees in seven states. • Process garnishments and child support documents, provide answers to courts, calculate deductions and remit payments.• Complete and file all Federal and state payroll tax returns and make required tax payments. • Present payroll and timekeeping-related information to new employees at orientation and to new supervisors during supervisor training classes.• Reconcile and issue W2s and file with agencies.• Validate and reconcile retirement account deductions and employer match amounts and remit contributions to agencies, along with required monthly and quarterly reports.• Tested and implemented electronic timekeeping for all non-faculty employees. Participated in training and Q&A sessions and process and procedure documentation. • Facilitate an ongoing Stress Management class provided to supervisors. • Implemented electronic payments to benefit vendors and worked with accounting staff to update and streamline the benefit account reconciliation process.• Implemented tax payment reconciliation process and reduced payroll tax penalties to zero.• Implemented new internal controls and eliminated audit deficiencies in this area.
