Responsibilities include....Supporting the delivery of the household risk strategy. Working closely with senior commercial management, insurer partnership team, pricing and external insurance partners to provide indepth insight and input into retail pricing and product development decisions. Working with external insurance partners to support Underwriting decisions. Maintaining a detailed view of the competitive position of Home product within the insurance market in order to identify retail opportunities. Producing monthly reports, in line with insurer contractual agreements, on the account performance.Assessing household insurer claims information to support the identification of trends of over and under performance that can be targeted through amended pricing or marketing action.Producing daily reports on new business and renewal performance and identify actions to mitigate any variances to plan.Producing daily reports on the competitive position aligned to contractual commitments.Assisting the Senior Commercial Manager with developing compelling business cases to enable business or operational change to happen.Developing budget plans and re-forecasting for performance management. Engaging, influencing and leading cross functional teams to execute strategies and changes and to meet agreed targets; working with colleagues in pricing, operations, marketing, IT and insurer development.Working with MI team to define required MI reports to manage business.Providing support in the production of presentations both internally and externally to support the and leading various workstreams to ensure delivery of the 5 year plan strategies.

• Handling & reviewing results from the Anti-Fraud controls in place in Underwriting.• Developing controls & checks within Anti-Fraud software as part of the policy screening process. • Reviewing and updating current Fraud processes to ensure maximum protection at Application stage. • Producing tracking & reporting of fraud detection & prevention levels, along with calculating business benefits. • Working in liaison with data sharing organisations to incorporate industry wide data within Fraud detection and prevention. • Working with law authorities to attempt to bring criminal convictions for known Fraudsters. • Working alongside Claims Fraud Analysts to collate and analyse current Fraud trends

Handling underwriting related telephone & correspondence queries from contact centres and external business partners within agreed service levels.Making underwriting decisions on individual risks which fall outside standard product parameters. This includes renewal assessment, reviewing non-disclosures at claims stages and processing relevant policy corrections.

Dealing with range of complaints Claims handling within Contents Insurance. Complaints involved settlement and indemnity disputes as well as customer service issues. Started process of tracking root causes of complaints for targeting of identifiable issues.
