About Robin Shail
SW England is an outstanding natural laboratory that underpins most of my research and teaching. I’m interested in all aspects of Variscan and post-Variscan tectonics, regional geological evolution and resource geology. My usual focus is the interplay between tectonics/structural geology and magmatism, sedimentation and natural resources (minerals + geothermal energy). I'm engaged in research and knowledge exchange that contributes to the exploration and production activities of natural resources companies operating in the region.
