Project manager, working in the Roche Customer Projects team which focuses on delivering a complete implementation package for the installation of new equipment. Working with both the Roche portfolio of products and third party suppliers as part of a Roche managed service, the role covers all aspects of the customer experience for an install.

Working within the IDS R&D department and reporting directly to the Technical Director the role of the Alliance Manager is to lead and manage multiple third party projects and activities across the IDS sites. Involving aspects of regulatory, production, product development and resource planning and starting from project concept the role covers the complete design control process. Managing each unique project to ensure that stage gates are met in a timely and financially viable manner is integral to the role. This involves coordinating with multiple functions within the IDS group ensuring that eachgroup is up to date with the project status and that project plans are clear and fit for purpose.As well as third party projects this position also included the planning of internal developments being transferred to production. The Alliance Manager acts as an interface between the R&D groups, either internal or external and the IDS production group to ensure a supply of raw materials and production slots for development material.

After working at IDS previously for several years, it was an opportunity to return to provide second level support to local technical support teams and to directly support the distributor network. This position helped develop an in-depth understanding of complaint escalation and management as well as CAPA systems. Supporting the distributors involved communicating information swiftly so that their appropriate response time to customers was maintained. Training was a major part of the role, identifying weakness was important and resolved through training both on site and as part ofstructured courses. In addition to this the company was expanding its distributor network which required submissions to respective regulatory bodies. The support of these submissions was an integral role of the International Technical Support department.

The position of International FAS was within the area of clinical diagnostics focusing primarily on women’s health. The key technologies in this area are RNA based molecular diagnostics, both in a manual context as well as fully automated systems. The role had multiple aspects including troubleshooting, proficiency assessments, complaint escalation, training, customer relations and sales support.
