Robin Stinson practices exclusively in the field of Family Law and Alternate Dispute Resolution. She is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Specialist in Family Law and a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is also a N.C. Dispute Resolution Commission certified mediator for the Superior Court and Family Financial Matters and she is a certified family law arbitrator through the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ms. Stinson has handled cases in all aspects of family relations, including divorce, adoption, child custody and visitation, termination of parental rights, child support, spousal support (alimony), separation agreements, enforcement of orders relating to support, property division (equitable division), cohabitation agreements, pre-marital (pre-nuptial) agreements, marriage, domestic violence and other legal issues pertinent to the family. Ms. Stinson is a Past-President of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She frequently serves as a speaker at Continuing Legal Education Programs and has presented manuscripts on a wide range of Family Law topics, including Family Law Mediation, Civil Procedure Issues and Third Party Issues in Family Law matters, Premarital Agreements, and Marital Debt. In March 2007, Ms. Stinson was awarded the Board of Legal Specialization of the North Carolina State Bar’s James E. Cross Leadership Award in recognition of her outstanding leadership as a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law.
