With over 10 years of experience in the classroom, I have worked with students K-8 and mild to severe disabilities. My experience in separate setting and inclusion positions has provided me with a full view of the supports necessary for all children to thrive. I have extensive experience in co-teaching, lesson planning, administering assessments, collecting and analyzing data, writing individual education plans, supporting student's social emotional needs, and have provided training for other teachers in working with students with disabilities. I have taken on leadership roles in schools, including Building Leadership Teams, Instructional Leadership Teams, and Family Engagement Action Teams. I have been recognized for my work through the Symetra Heroes in the Classroom award and am nationally board certified. I am looking for the opportunity to continue my growth as a professional and support students, families, and communities, leveraging my skills as an educator and advocate.
