A good programmers can write high-quality code, but only those who understand restaurant operations can make good restaurant management software!My first job was as a programmer, and I wrote code for a huge programmable digital switch for 3 years. In 2016, I founded a game live streaming platform called nonolive, and sold it to a Nasdaq-listed company five years ago. After I have accumulated experience working and traveling in 40+ countries in different positions. I have seen that the taste of food from restaurants around the world is different, but these restaurants have the same desire for a good management software to help them succeed! So I started my second startup to develop restaraunt management software Orderpin!To make a good restaurant management software, the designer needs to have a deep understanding of the operation of the restaurant, and can understand their environment, relationship between each other, and service process from the different roles of owner, manager, cashier, waiter, chef, and user, in order to make a truly useful restaurant management software.There is no better way to gain these experiences than directly owning a restaurant. I opened a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Unfortunately, the food produced by this restaurant was not so good due to no good chef. After 6 months, the restaurant finally closed down, but the accumulated understanding of restaurant operations made Orderpin better. Now Orderpin has gained the trust of more than 3,000 merchants from 10 countries around the world!I believe that with the transformation of hardware devices from Windows to Android, the connection of restaurant marketing with the Internet, the convergence of food delivery platforms, the popularization of mobile payments. The cloud POS are irreversible and will only get faster and faster.Looking to the future, as more and more merchants use Orderpin, and as merchant and user data accumulates, Orderpin will use the power of big data and AI to drive product development through innovation and better solve the pain points in restaurant operation and management.That's my story, a former senior programmer and a failed owner who ran a restaurant, started a new jorney of business. I firmly believes that together with my team, We can definitely develop a restaurant management software to help more restaurants succeed!
