- Designed and implemented a visually intuitive recommendation tool based on the results of a multi-dimensional regression of hospital congestion metrics that allowed leadership to objectively decide which hospital in the region could most reduce congestion through emergency access to the limited long term care beds in the community. - Created a risk adjusted statistical model for ranking physicians relative to each other allowing identification of poor performing outliers. With this information clinical leadership was able to support physicians in improving their performance and patient outcomes.

- Collaborated with the Executive Director of Quality to create over 70 reports for the CEO with expedited development times varying from a few hours to a couple of days. These reports were highly scrutinized as they would often support wide-ranging regional initiatives.- Executed a regression analysis between Emergency Department (ED) occupancy and length of stay and identified critical occupancy thresholds beyond which ED length of stay grows non-linearly. These occupancy thresholds were implemented regionally as ED Safety Thresholds and still form the basis of most ED occupancy targets today.- Constructed a discrete event simulation of the impact on system capacity (hospital beds) from increased weekend discharges. The simulation identified that a 20% increase in weekend discharges could save upwards of 130 beds (5%), and this result was used in an initiative to enhance weekend discharges across the health authority.

- Reduced daily task time by 50% and error rates to near zero for Infection Control practitioners tracking C.Difficile and Multi-drug Resistant Organisms across all 12 Fraser Health hospitals by leading the design and implementation of a data system using standardized processes and integrated business logic which addressed specific gaps in the existing tedious, error prone system.- Eliminated report lag time and update time for 11 major reports by leading a team of three junior analysts through the transition from existing Xcelcius (SAP Dashboard) reports to SQL Server Reporting Services reports

- Designed and implemented a database with customized import and metric retrieval processes that reduced work required for trending of Key Performance Indicators from days to minutes.- Reduced report generation times by a factor of 10 by automating manual report generation using VBA scripts and standardization of processes. The process was repeated for two dozen reports resulting in significant efficiency improvements within the Performance Reporting team.
