I act as a conduit between medical staff at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and an off-site team of occupational health clinicians, and am tasked with triaging all incoming calls ranging from general queries to medical emergencies. The role demands an ability to work calmly and quickly under pressure, with each call requiring a filtering and concise relaying of relevant information.Alongside two colleagues, I am also responsible for ensuring all relevant staff at the NNUH are cleared for work involving exposure prone procedures (EPPs) by using Excel in conjunction with our occupational health software, OPAS-G2. Members of staff requiring clearance are first identified through the portal, scheduled for relevant appointments, and their attendance at these appointments tracked to facilitate the continued safety of patients and staff alike.

Working as part of a small team, I used Excel and python programming skills to catalogue, digitalise and manipulate data on over 50 individuals from the Foundation's network, spanning more than six decades of conferences. Weekly progress reports were presented to the program supervisor, and my public speaking skills were developed further as I chaired one of the weekly debates on current affairs for fellow interns.
