Being attached to various different firm and companies, with a total of 15 years in working experience, Robin Tan is constantly looking for new challenges to further improve and take a step upwards, while be of a valuable asset with its ability to adapt quickly in new environments and experience.Robin Tan is an ACCA member, graduated back in 2009. He first started off his working career with KPMG as an external auditor for 2.5 years. He put the utmost priorities in meeting clients' tight datelines while maintaining de decent level of work quality.Robin Tan left to pursue a different challenge in the corporate sector, and was attached to Genting Malaysia Berhad for 3 years in the finance reporting division. He strongly believes in order for top management to come up with critical decisions, management reports which depicts key financials are of utmost importance.He ventured into the telecommunications industry with Green Packet Berhad, where he served for a total of 2 years where he was involved in operational finance. "To run a business and make key turning point decisions, understanding the basics are crucial". Making steps forward, he joined Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd as the Finance Manager in one of the elite property developers in Klang Valley and Shah Alam. The property industry is a whole new experience in terms of finance and accounting. Getting exposure in raising funds to fund the operational needs, financial reporting and budgeting allows him to truly understand the crucial success factors that makes a property developer ticks. Currently attached to Astro Group, the one and only recognized mega player in its industry, opens a new chapter in terms of experience and exposure in the business development side. As the Company is looking forward with new strategies, with plans to further strengthen its position in the market, Robin Tan was tasked with not only the financial reporting and budgeting aspect, but also participating in management decisions in business strategies and proposals to move the Company forward. Challenging, but definitely fulfilling.Currently the Financial Controller of Carro Malaysia, for one of the fastest growing marketplace for used cars, Robin Tan understands in order for growth and expansion, swift decisions are vital and with the right team, exponential yet sustainable growth will be achieved.Robin Tan believes success can only be achieved through teamwork, setting a good working culture and relationship between superior and subordinates would put the company towards the right direction.
