I am the Founder, Director and Lead Consultant at Bridgewood, an independent insolvency firm that provides specialist support to over 300 accountants, professional advisors and their clients. With over 25 years of experience in the financial sector, including 14 years dealing with insolvency matters, & having run a number of small businesses myself, I understand the challenges this can bring and the demands one can experience. Getting advice early is crucial when faced with insolvency; furthermore Directors of limited companies have a legal responsibility to seek professional advice as soon as they believe their company may not be able to avoid it. Bridgewood provide the tools to help Accountants identify and support clients in jeopardy, and once it is apparent assistance is required, deal with the client directly to put solutions in place. Our aim is not to replace the services Accountancy firms provide; rather we work alongside and as an extension, ensuring that their clients receive the right advice at the right time. Wherever possible we look to bring in solutions that help the client become solvent and continue trading, saving a client for your firm that may otherwise have been lost.
