Managed international literary agents, contacted and researched appropriate publishers for Quirk's genres, submitted sales materials, negotiated deals, prepared contracts, followed up on submissions, arranged materials and coordinated stand design and other details for two international book fairs a year. Sold foreign rights, because the world needs Quirk books! I also held down the front desk, so I played receptionist, as well, and managed stock in the on-site book room.

I practiced the rules of flight attendants: Safety, security, and service, in that order. This means knowing the many types of airplanes in the fleet and their safety equipment, how to work all of it, and making sure it's in compliance and ready to use at a moment's notice. Security, as we all know, was also a top priority of the job. Following the many (and ever-changing) rules was a prominent part of the position. Lastly, service with a smile and great patience kept the customers as happy as possible. I follow the idea that if you are nice to people, they will be nice to you about 99% of the time. If you are not nice, you will not be rewarded with niceness.Additionally, I enjoyed this position because it expanded my knowledge and view of the United States. I love to travel for fun!
