Adeno associated virus (AAV) possesses low pathogenicity and broad tissue specificity that make it an attractive candidate for gene therapy. However interaction with host cell restriction factors lead to a low transduction efficiency. The aim of the PhD project was to characterize the interaction between AAV and selected proteins of interest in the proteasomal degradation cascade.
