I've had an interesting set of career titles and job responsibilities in my working life. At 20 years old I moved to Los Angeles CA as a newlywed and ended up working in entertainment TV. I left the office early to head out into the field. Working in television (documentaries, reality TV, red carpets, etc.) meant that I was usually "on location." That work lifestyle is very different from the traditional office, sales floor, or cubicle. After I went freelance, I would go to a new "job" at a new location almost every day. Most days I wouldn't know what my role would be until I received a call sheet that morning... today I'm in the helicopter getting scenic b-roll shots. Tomorrow I might be at a hotel shooting interviews or on a boat sailing to Catalina Island. Every day was completely different.As a massage therapist I also felt that I didn't have a regular "workplace." Because I am entrepreneur-minded I worked for massage apps that allowed me to work my own schedule. They put me in office buildings doing chair massage one day and performing table massage in-home on the next. Clients ranged from athletes, musicians, chefs, plus well-known actors and palliative care patients.I'm also a GenX kid... which means I know how to read a map, drive a stick shift, and have real-world survival skills. My generation was told to "figure it out yourself" and "quit your whining" so you can expect me to think independently and understand consequences. All of my life experience, including world travel, live TV, working with a new "crew" almost daily gives me so much confidence. I feel I could handle almost anything the world could throw my way in a professional and courteous manner.
