During my time at BF&S I was Charged with direct oversight of road and bridge building projects along with oversight airport rehabilitation projects duties included direct inspection of the project many times material testing was required. Also preparations of change orders and estimates. Along with communicating with clients, contractors, various government entities and the general public to ensure successful projects.

During my career with the Indiana Department of Transportation I serve one year in the testing department as a test inspector at this time I was responsible for testing various types of aggregates and HMA mixes. The following 16 years were spent as a construction inspector my duties included but were not limited to the inspection of road, bridge, communication towers and drainage projects the following 5+ years were spent as a project supervisor overseeing similar projects and managing inspection forces ranging from 2 to 10 people my showcase projects during this time would have been the night shift supervision of the hyper fix project which rehabilitated the I 70 I 65 inner loop through downtown Indianapolis with the road closure only lasting 30 days the total of the project lasted eight months. My other showcase project would be the installation of the sound barrier wall along I465 which was the first sound barrier wall installed in central Indiana being a relatively new product the state of Indiana I was entrusted with proper installation very difficult traffic management issues and communications with the general public to ensure success project.
